Who is Fiora Firefly?

Fiora began performing as a fire dancer in 2006 and has since expanded her range to include over a dozen fire disciplines. She has performed at festivals, fundraisers, family, community, and corporate events, using fire, LED, and other non-fire props and even making appearances as a live mermaid. Her crowd-stopping performances never fail to thrill an audience.
Is Fire Dancing Safe?
That’s the burning question on any new client’s mind. (Pun intended.) Fiora is a proven, safe professional, who takes every precaution to ensure that the illusion of danger is maintained while keeping the actual risks to an absolute minimum. Trained in fire safety by a retired firefighter, she has worked closely with fire chiefs and marshals in Utah and throughout southern California. She’s certified in fire safety by the Flow Arts Institute and adheres strictly to International Fire Performer Safety Organizations’ rules of conduct. Fiora maintains a spotless safety track record and a $5 million insurance policy that protects the client, property, and audience. She understands that you may be initially concerned about having fire as entertainment and welcomes any questions you may have about proper fire safety protocols.

Where are you located?

How much does a show cost?
Discovering the perfect package for your event is as unique as your plans. During our conversation, we’ll delve into your event plans, I’ll walk you through what I offer, address your questions, and promptly send you a personalized quote.
Can a fire show take place indoors?
While there are elements to be considered (eg safety, alarms, ventilation, etc,) many indoor venues are suitable for fire shows. Where fire is not safe, I offer LED and other non-fire performance options. Please speak with your venue contact to find out if they allow indoor fire performances before booking an indoor fire show.
What are the technical requirements for the performance?
All performances require a green room for breaks, costuming and makeup touch-ups, and drinking water.
Fire Dance Performances Area Requirements:
To ensure a safe and spectacular fire dance performance, please allocate a minimum space of 15’X15’X15′ for the performer. Additionally, allow a 15′ buffer zone between the performer and anything flammable, including the audience, furniture, decorations, and other items. The performance area should be smooth, solid, and free of obstacles or slip/trip hazards.
Please note that fire shows cannot be performed on artificial turf or carpeting. A dance floor or stage can be utilized in these instances. For indoor performances, make sure your venue permits indoor fire performers. Additional area requirements include vaulted ceilings, good ventilation, an outside fueling area, multiple escape routes, and a clear pathway for the transport of the equipment. Additional security and/or a fire permit may be necessary. Please call for a safety assessment before booking an indoor fire show.
Music for Fire Performances:
For feature fire performances, the performer will provide a music mix on a player, USB memory stick, or file for your DJ. It’s essential for the client to manage the sound. Since the fire can be loud, position the sound source near the fire performer at an ample volume to ensure all guests can enjoy the music.
Atmospheric Fire Performances:
Atmospheric fire performances serve as a captivating backdrop to your event. For these, the client is responsible for providing danceable music (DJ/Band). It’s important to note that the performer does not supply music for atmospheric performances.
What if I have to cancel/reschedule?
Your deposit secures your special date exclusively for you. In the event of a cancellation made more than 30 days in advance, there will be no additional charges. However, if the cancellation occurs within 30 days of the scheduled show date, the full fee will be due within one week.
Should you need to reschedule, I’ll make every effort to accommodate your request, though availability depends on prior bookings. If rescheduling within 30 days of the agreed-upon show date, additional fees may apply.
What if you are sick/injured and can't perform?
In the unfortunate event of an accident or illness, your peace of mind is our top priority. I will diligently work to secure the best replacement entertainment for you, sparing you any undue stress. All you need to do is inform me of your preferred available performer to step in.
Should we be unable to find a suitable replacement for your event, rest assured that you will receive a refund promptly. No hassles, just a straightforward solution. Breathe easier, knowing that you are covered.
What if it rains?
Weather Contingency for Fire Performances:
Understanding the concerns about weather for outdoor events, we’ve got you covered in case of unexpected conditions. Here’s what happens in different scenarios:
Light Drizzle: A light drizzle is no problem; the props will still burn beautifully, and the show goes on as planned.
Short Period of Heavy Rain: In the event of a brief heavy rain, we’ll wait it out. Your contract includes a 30-minute window for the start time, which will be increased to 1 hour in this instance to accommodate such situations.
Outdoor Challenge: If it becomes clear that an outdoor performance is not feasible, we can move the show indoors if permitted. If an indoor option is not available, or a tent with at least a 20′ ceiling is not possible, any losses will be shared equally between both parties.
Major Storm Forecast:
In case of a major storm forecast leading to a necessary last-minute event postponement, here’s what you need to know:
Rescheduling: You have the option to reschedule within 60 days with no penalty fees, provided the new date is available. If I’m already booked for the new date, your deposit will be promptly returned.
Cancellation: If you choose not to reschedule, you’ll lose your deposit but won’t incur any additional fees.
