How much space do you need?

Fire Dance Performances Area Requirements:

To ensure a safe and spectacular fire dance performance, please allocate a minimum space of 15’X15’X15′ for the performer. Additionally, allow a 15′ buffer zone between the performer and anything flammable, including the audience, furniture, decorations, and other items. The performance area should be smooth, solid, and free of obstacles or slip/trip hazards.

Please note that fire shows cannot be performed on artificial turf or carpeting. A dance floor or stage can be utilized in these instances. For indoor performances, make sure your venue permits indoor fire performers. Additional area requirements include vaulted ceilings, good ventilation, an outside fueling area, multiple escape routes, and a clear pathway for the transport of the equipment. Additional security and/or a fire permit may be necessary. Please call for a safety assessment before booking an indoor fire show.

Can you perform the show indoors/outdoors?

The ideal environment for your event entertainment is specific to the performance you select.

Belly dance and LED dance are suitable for indoor and outdoor events.

Fire dancing is usually performed outdoors, but some venues are set up to handle indoor performances safely. Please consult with us before booking an indoor fire show. For safety reasons, fire breathing is an outdoors-only offering.

Do you require a deposit?

To secure your booking, you’ll need to pay a  50%. The remaining balance can be paid in cash on the day of the event, either before or directly after the performance. However, if you prefer not to use cash, you can always elect to pay upfront when you make your booking.

Is the show suitable for children/work?

Absolutely! All of Fiora Firefly’s event entertainment options are clean and corporate, wedding, and family-friendly, so you don’t have to worry about offending the more conservative folks in your group.

When's a good time to have you begin your show?

The timing for your performance should be selected based on how you’d to use your entertainment and the timeline of your event. We will cover those topics in our consultation to ensure that you are getting the most out of your entertainment package. Here are some additional points to consider.

For daytime events or indoor events that will be well-lit, we recommend belly dance and FlowFusion acts. Belly dancers can also perform at nighttime events, with or without fire. However, the day props aren’t easy for the audience to see in low-light conditions.

Fire shows are best performed at least 15 minutes after sunset. Dusk is a beautiful time of day for a fire show – the fire pops against a dusky sky and the dancers’ moves are clearly visible. After dark is a popular choice as well. We don’t recommend the time frame just before sunset, because the fire is very difficult for the audience to see when the sun is low in the sky.

LED shows are best in very dark lighting situations. The beauty of this act lies in the ability of the audience to see the trails of the lights being manipulated into patterns. For this reason, we recommend that this act be performed after dark, or indoors with the lights out.
